Got a little Tool talk today!

Prompting me to introduce the “Tool Box!”  [Bigger Concept]

      >> That is right, to develop a mastery in Craftsman

necessitates proficiency in all the tools involved.

Agreed. Quest accepted. (On it a.s.a.p.)

Topic in mind: Building blocks, Schemata, and First Toys, modelling play toward honing skills,

We have a few more of these little talks

before asset mapping and the whole Tool Boxes Topic.

Start here:  Some things you have to build up to…

Build a little foundation, (habits lead to habitats)

Gear up with the appropriate Tools,

>>>> and work clothes for the task!

Practice. (Hit the training mannequin for a bit.)

Test the mettle.

First Toys and what you were told/showed

What were you told about how to use them?

It goes back to modelling.

What were you shown?

What held  your interest / joy / curiosity?

In the grand narrative and ways of blurring Individualism into cookie-cut/standardized/lowest common-denominators, it’s important to remember that

>>> THAT is a skewed reflection, fun house mirrors, distortion and warping. That is a twisted road, not a fun rabbit-hole at all.

Simple Litmus Test:

If enlightened had a 180 degree opposite it would be endarkened.

>>Yep, let that tea steep.<<

Not very bright   >>>   to go dark.

The thought of the day:

Some cookie-tins have cookies! That’s good, too!”

My grandmother’s cookie tins were complete tool boxes toward Mastery.

All you have to do is sit next  to her, follow instructions, and watch what her hands do.

(hint: it’s called creation!)

I was too little to use those tools, and her eyesight was getting too weak to teach well.

I always wanted to learn.  I promised I would, and when I grew up I started to gear up

as though

taking myself /that promise/my grandmother’s hope

SERIOUSLY.

Then the universe invited me to

Pilot a Sewing Program. (ikr… out of nowhere opportunity lands in MY lap?!)

Newb to Teacher with a master artisan.

Not Luck.

READY.

Ready to train my hands to calluses and muscle memory, train my brain to eye hand coordination toward precision, trained OUT my frugal-ness and strive to invest in quality tools and materials. The lessons and blessing galore, just FOR showing up in her classroom weekly, taking good notes, and committing a few years.

Side note: Bonus> Classes with the best Senpai!!!!

…all stiff-lipped, perfectionists, ripper ready with the head-shaking tsk tsk, unworking my 3 hours in mere minutes.

Lol… I adore this woman!!

A stitch in time saves nine…  a mastery in your craft can build an enterprise.

It makes a difference in the long run.
