Should we talk about the weather?

Hello Warriors,

I don’t about you,

but I am ready to leave this storm season.

Still thinking about your questions.

Situational awareness… On-guard… Suspicious?

There might be something about “distress tolerance.”

Living in survival mode way too long.

You forgot how to take off the armor and be at ease.

I get that feeling for sure.

In many ways

It’s that moment I am AIMING AT——->>>  At Ease

My north node on my compass. The magnetic pull.

At Ease is not the same as  comfortable.

Comfortable is a luxury that constant battle ready doesn’t allow.

Effectively

At Ease requires that you have  people

who have your back (IN your world)

as a prerequisite.

Require… Pre-require (see how that works?)

[    words…. They have MEANING!     Who knew? ].

Children are naturally at ease, joyful, exploratory,

in a constant state of wonder.

Seriously, watch them. [ In real time!]

It’s natural in all of us,

Until we are shown, or taught otherwise.

I can’t tell you where your feelings are hiding.

I can suggest that it’s a sensual memory

(sight, smell, taste, sounds, texture, temperature)

A memory encodes your body and can be recalled viscerally.

You have to tune in and find it.

It might start with… people, places and things.

[We have to work on nouns before we get to adjectives.]

The person, place and thing that kindled a light  in the dark:

For me

it was with Grandmother’s home

on the couch nibbling cookies, with milk

and watching ancient grayscale re-runs of The Lawrence Welk Show.

There was no place safer for me in the world (as I knew it back then.)

There could be a hurricane outside and we couldn’t care less.

It’s those tiny moments that rekindle the spark inside.

Tiny little lights in the darkness.

I held on to those moments as though they were life preservers.

Those memories lead you out.

Anchor the memories.

Do more things that en-lighten, “lighten your load,”

go more places uplifting,

meet more people that inspire you

and help you level up.

Seek out your Senpai’s and Mentors

and follow their advice.

For me, I get the boots off, drop the armor, hot soak, milk, cookies

and think back to all the dancing and singing that made that

old grand woman sigh bliss in remembering.

When you’re old like that  and your mind strays into memories,

If you want most of the playback to be joy-filled.

You have to make sure you stock up along the way.

Nice quest to live by… huh?

Plan your perfect days,

make sure they outnumber the battle ready days.

It’s like medicine for the soul.

Once you see you have a choice about what you tap into,

happy places and playgrounds get easier to find and build.

Still in training.

I think I built this playground the wrong way,

AND

I hope people will come  play there anyways,

even if it is all unfinished and made with mistakes.

Maybe a Senpai will give me a some tips and tricks.

Please enjoy your visit!
