My city called!  It was very much the bat-signal moment for me. There was a non-profit in need of My skills. The landscape contract lapsed and the vintage roses went wild. Citations and such, could you please lend them a hand…

The Neighborhood Action office called me because I was recognized as a community gardener twice.  There’s articles even >>  https://www.bgky.org/announcements/1488

I took Before and After photos. If interested I could talk about the battle of the roses, but this story is about what was INSIDE the building. The non-profit https://www.casaofsck.org/

And the INVITATION offered:  https://www.casaofsck.org/volunteer/

I wasn’t ready.

I knew I had not done That Work.  There was no way I could be detached and not get emotionally affected, and I didn’t have the support system where I could do That Work.  Trying to focus on the immediacy of now and supporting the future of my cubs. One in college and the other high school.  My work was almost done with them. The What’s Next Horizon approached and had germinated potentials in Gardening, Sewing, Community Organizing…

Hesitation lost one opportunity and still in FOG…

>>>>>>>>  when the floor fell out from under me.

(Different story, very Alice in Wonderland… )

It was a process – letting go of all the things I was plugged into

and Take the Leap and change my life.

I surrendered my keys

and my decoy keys (I worked with children.)

October 30, 2018 left that world to do THAT WORK.

To become The Hero my wounded inner child needed to advocate for them by DOING THE WORK TO HEAL.
