The Beach Get-Away Review

Brilliant ideas, stunning scenes, relaxing and beautiful builds.

Thank you cartographers for another amazing Challenge!

I’ll give you the play by play. The MC Mac, kept the suspense going for a couple of segments, before revealing the winner, (unless you follow on facebook, you get a notice 20 minutes before the show and Mac hints with pictures) He says it in almost every challenge, “DAM Challengers bring their A game.”

And they do!

Random Ladybird won with the most charming sea-side tourist attraction. She uses actual artifacts in her artifacts! There were so many endearing details at every turn, custom built for the scene (and viewer’s pleasure) every nook feels unique and specific to the map and its backstory.

Lilandra brought it with a cast away, who became a long term resident. I love that the beacon still burns, Hope eternal.

Lilandra brought it with a kit-bash that’s going to be a game changer!

First entry for Aaron, EPIC!

…. and (like me when I first got into the game and brought workshop assets into my toybox via download… (That’s how it worked in Tabletop Simulator) until I realized…..I built scenes other mappers could not open.  It took me a while to figure out the budget in MB of assets and I’m still figuring out how to get those numbers lower.

That’s why showing up for the Monday “classes” has been perfect for learning better use and limitations.

The old salty dogs keep us squared away. And the lore in the game…!

Wait back to the point.

Lord Rev brought his A game in the way of a Retreat, bungalows petal from docks, allowing guests to sleep above the waves gently splashing along shore (dreamy) but the wonder is Inside the spa.  You know when you walk into art.  It stuns you for a second.
