This cartography club not only helps me build skills and challenge myself, it helps me to socially connect. I feel I have some really nice friendships growing here.
Mac (the Community Manager at Dungeon Alchemist) does a lot to foster the community Culture. Keeping up with the chat on 8 platforms, visiting other streamers during their programs.Encouraging new mappers, reminding where all the guides are located. Reminds often of the company dream … little kickstarter than CAN!
His humor, interests, hobbies, and personal development are key attractors not just personal quirks. Most of the earlier players are pursuing their own growth as mappers, modellers, streamers, content makers, (in addition to their professional lives.)
There’s a symbiotic evolution that happens as beta testers.
The character build changes with the world build. As the developers dial in and upgrade the application, the “players” get better having been there through all the changes. Practicing.
There is so much togetherness there, with the players that have been there awhile. They’ve done Everything; made maps, made models, made tutorials, made businesses (I sub a few on Patreon.) I am among TRAILBLAZERS… and I know it.
