I passed that anniversary celebrating privately (Key Lime Pie) as “what you did last year.” started sending me notice.
I might take that WP re-visit invite up when The Journey is less “There” and more “back again.” Still Navigating the terrain.
The Theme “Fey” 
Not sure I aesthetically agree with twists on fairy in contemporary re-interpretations.
My fey, fae, fairy archetype is more Victorian.
More Cicely Mary Barker, less Ralph Bakshi.
To me: the challenge was the scaling.
Thinking big ol humans with pointed hats trying to fit in hobbit holes… except Airship /Cartographer/ Cat inside scaled to 2 foot tall Fairies Personal Spaces. In this case a burrowed out tree stump… or 3. Or more. This is one of those maps that want to expand into villages, townships, regions…
My Beetle experiments were tragic so I snipped an image off a basic free image giggle search.
And once again argued with robots about if I could do that (snip image) to make models, many examples of questionable copy use in my art and I say… I am ALLOWED to be inspired and pay tribute in my art to those artists that inspired me.
Also I qualify these maps as Student Work and there are allowances for Studying The Masters.
I have not been quiet about what a fan-girl I am of my fellow mappers. >I’m preparing my postcards in another window, right now< Going to roll these posts back to back. I had a lot of article worthy thoughts while “Grounding.”
Seriously, I have not felt this grounded since Minecraft… OH! The Goron Mask that gave me some fun earthy thoughts.
Which is where I began as side dishes to the main course, the beetle based economy.
Guarantee not a single tele-solicitor wanted to talk about the current Truffle market… Nor culinary based economies… I suspect a few “scam likely(s)” may have blocked me.

As I started landscaping>> agriculture base for sed economy… the Lag got so Bad.
I figure the build vertically was tall; from Spire to grubs 8 levels. So I cut the Spire/ Bed and Breakfast with the more magical view of the fey portal… Hard cut. There’s a Part 2 of the Borough with the Spire and may continue growing up the road a few more trunks, maybe a cave or two… make it a proper Township.
As seen in the thumbnail art below. I tried to play small so the challenge host could open and move around inside my map. Also so the backstory didn’t get lost…
Then all the maps came in.
Gonna sit down over here with the other cats and take some notes!
