This Challenge hit different.
It started the way Challenge weeks roll for me. I try not to peek at the other entries until after I submit my entry. The second Wednesday is my imaginary deadline (personal in-game goal) Friday at midnight the actual deadline. Hitting my deadline or earlier for over a year.
So exploring the entries is its own reward.

The First Submission Hidden Planar Outpost. Early post a name I don’t recognize from my favorite stream channels.
>> This makes me excited and happy for DA and Mac, the community manager gaining new players to this community game!
For me this map had a lesson in the stair build, and the machinery behind the clock, clever.
Yeah I take notes as I tour.
Once again I do recommend the Dungeon Alchemist playback videos available on all their streaming platforms. For the really behind the scenes join the Discord. And look at what the Challengers submit for yourself.
I really like that both major rpgs are in the description; [Under “Deep within the Feywild (DND)/First World (Pathfinder), a vibrant pond hides a secret multi-level facility carved into a cliffside.”]

Toy Makers Mansion
The Winner.
I knew it as soon as I opened it. Awe-struck at the amount of work put in to build this, got lost in the maze of hallways, and Intrigued at the clues in the structure, each branch temptation room leading to trap and demise. Eerie when you read the backstory before entering the map.

Displaced Homestead. One of Lord Revs prettiest builds. I am impressed with how he has been customizing his presentation and packaging. I learn so much from just watching this guy… can’t even tell you!

Crannog Fey Based on a Crannog an earlier build, relandscaped and “fey-ified”

Handcrafted out the gate (load icon) what the actual archeology is going on here!! (Yk I watch these documentaries.) What a labor of love! To heritage and history! Cheers. So many wows!

Then I finally got to the hut, opened the door and my heart jumped.
Leaped for joy!
It stunned me. Stopped me in my tracks.
I recognized that frog looking up at me.
Warm Fuzzies.
Next map
Fairy Council, another one of my frogs AND 2 butterflies! Inani is a Magical Cat, you can tell by the fancy Top Hat. Sneak peek… XD

By the time I got to Feywilds Patchwork… It really hit me.

I have been looking forward to this debut of Rabbit of Caerbannog. Random Ladybird is a bit ahead of me at learning blender. Casting my engineer as the Kebler baker in her map was a delightful surprise!

Fey Court, No words, for this, a world so delicate ….and powerful.

This is MAGICAL. I will be studying what Lilandra did here for a few days. This changes everything about floating islands for my future builds.
And my thinking I’m getting good at mapping humbling.Throne of the Summer Court.

Gonna sit down and take notes with the other cool cats.
If we were to take that WP invite to revisit last year I was talking how its important to skill up among other people who are trying to skill up in the same way. I wrapped it in a “tri-athlete” analogy. >If you want to be a tri-athlete is more helpful to hangout with tri-athletes than… _____ (pickleball players…?) [Nah it was a fill in the blank.]
When I really look at where I am putting most of my time and effort and the amazing benefits I receive from just participating >> giving as hard as my team-mates >> appreciate the hard work of others, celebrating tiny accomplishments and applauding innovation. Every day I study and build and learn from people I admire. Every stream I show up and get to know the team better>>> it has been well worth my time and dedication.
Loving that I’m part of the DamFam.
