These maps gave me the heeby-jeebies something bad.

… I couldn’t …  not even virtually.

I could not put my token into those spaces to get the selfies.  XD

Some of Lilandra’s rooms didn’t even have floors!! I turned the light up and that just made it worse.  Then I could see the Walls.

Dark themes are not my favorite.

It’s been an interesting pivot in POV.

As a side-kick to my DM brother, I understood some of the stress of Bringing the Game. In the physical weight of the books, minis, maps, dice, extra pencils and notepads. Snacks.

The mental load of stats, maps/traps, monsters, hooks, plot twists and cat herding, I saw when my son started DM-ing. My advice back then was to “talk to other DM’s.” He found chat groups and a few local Legendary DMs.

Now I understand more of the DM POV.

Burn Out is REAL.

Real Life demands get prioritized over putting together an adventure.

Yeah, there is a big difference between how you could play in school, or college, and how you try to find time for your fun, between all the work and responsibilities as they stack. 

For the Love of The Hobby these guys are indomitable!
