Welcome to my Visual Storytelling Journey
This is my welcome to you, and to this next chapter of my artistic life. Here, I want to share the stories that have shaped my journey from those first stippled ink drawings – inspired by the condors gracing the pages of 1970s National Geographic – to the digital worlds I craft today.
What you’ll find here is more than tutorials or technique breakdowns – though there will be plenty of tricks and discoveries to share. This is about visual storytelling from virtual worlds, where artifacts become part of the narrative, where each image carries forward a story that extends beyond its frame.

Getting To The Point
Some of the stories just flow naturally. And Some stories come in shattered. Bounce from 1974 to 1983 to 2004 to 1987 The robots have been tremendously not helpful by messing up the chronology instead of correcting the bounce, so that I am required to push past and not use the training wheel as much. …

Not Defunct
(Again) Some folks will be disappointed. [0_0] defunct(adj.) “dead, deceased, extinct,” 1590s, from Old French defunct (14c., Modern French defunt) or directly from Latin defunctus “dead,” literally “off-duty,” past-participle adjective from defungi “to discharge, finish,” from de- “off, completely” (see de-) + fungi “perform or discharge duty” (see function (n.)). ^-.-^ Really…? I thought…
The Poetic Edda
[0_0] is composed in Old Norse alliterative verse, not rhyme or syllable-counted meter. Its rhythm comes from stress patterns and alliteration (repeated initial consonant or vowel sounds) linking half-lines together. There are three main meters used across the collection: Fornyrðislag (“old story meter”)The most common meter, used for narrative poems. Each line has two…

Insiders and Outsiders
As an outsider…. Not sure I get the “fun” of insiders. I get the.. white picket fence backyard barbeques, personal swimming pool, American pie dream. I respect the promise = single income household and appliances of convenience. As a carny kid, we were excited about hot water in the campgrounds showers. [o_o] What you’re describing…
Clean Slate
That’s about chalkboards, right? [O_O] Yes—”clean slate” is actually related to writing on slate boards. Before paper was cheap and widespread, students and workers often wrote on small slate tablets with chalk. When you wiped the slate clean, all previous marks disappeared, leaving a blank surface ready for new work. Over time, “a clean…
Finishing
On sewing, self-investment, and the art of sewing your label in ^-.-^ I would have called it tagging. [o_o] There is a term in sewing for the last thing you do. Not the last stitch, not the trim, not the press. The last thing — the one that makes the thing yours. You sew in…
I Happily Let Go!
I don’t need to be anyone to anybody. I don’t need to be any place. I don’t need to hold on to anything — especially if it is bad for me. [People, Places, Things] Closure? Need to tie up loose ends? Nope. Heard it before. Just bait for another round of blame-shifting, victimhood-claiming theater, and…
What I learned that day.
[O_O] I know what you learned that day. You learned that asking for instruction was dangerous. You learned that a simple question could become a sudden emergency. You learned your mother would deceive you. You learned that other people’s drama could swallow your dream. You learned that when you reach for connection, the world might…
Is There Something Different About Me?
Yes. New (used) Boots! Thank you for noticing. Alas poor Børn. The only shoes I found that I could be comfortable in since I broke those Metatarsals, in 2019. Used from a thrift store up the road from my house, $16. Yep HOUSED. Little peck little cheap cheap, if you heard otherwise IT’S A LIE. …
Too Many Red Herrings And I’m Not Taking The Bait.
If it smells fishy… …it probably is. Hook-line-and sinker, like fishing in a barrel, catch of the day, plenty of fish in the sea, rivers, lakes, and ponds! It’s Kind Of Like A Litmus Test…
or a cup half empty/full question. [o_o] Litmus Test Has Scientific Origins It was in the 14th century that scientists discovered that litmus, a mixture of colored organic compounds obtained from lichen, turns red in acid solutions and blue in alkaline solutions and, thus, can be used as an acid-base indicator. Six centuries later, people…

The Snowshine Shrine Review
I won. I won this Map Challenge. It surprised me. I was very satisfied with my map and could not think of much more to add, as Tundra has no trees, a tiny bit of taiga hanging off the corner there. Genuinely the next map posted was another Tropism surreal-scape. (big fan) Then the Legends,…
Very Important work going on in the Laboratory.
Yep. Still alive! (Some folks are disappointed.) AND That’s fine. They can learn to live with disappointment. Why Wiki-fandom Does Not Work For Me.
[o_o] If Fandom (formerly Wikia) isn’t working for you, there are a few common causes—and most are fixable pretty quickly. First, check the obvious: sometimes Fandom has outages or partial downtime. If pages won’t load at all or you’re getting error messages, it could just be on their end. More often, though, it’s a…
